After an accident, it is important to remain calm.
In any case, notify the police so that the incident can be properly documented. For this purpose, you will find a form for the accident report with the vehicle documents, which must be completed in full. You must send this to us immediately and thus inform us of the incident.
If you fail to notify the police, it is possible that the insurance company will ultimately not cover the damage. If, for example, only a traffic sign is hit, the police must still be notified. In the case of such minor damage, they usually do not come to the scene of the accident, in which case you should drive to the nearest police station and report the incident there.
For additional documentation, you should take photos of the accident scene and the damage caused. Please ensure that it is clearly visible where you are taking the photos, for example that a street sign, a tree, a house or similar is recognizable on them. In this way, the photos can later be clearly assigned to the accident.
