Cross-border driving

Vehicles can be driven in all European countries except Albania, Belarus, Bosnia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Russia, Kaliningrad, Turkey and Ukraine.
There are no additional fees for cross-border travel.

No prior authorization is required to leave the country by vehicle.

Driving to an unauthorized country or returning the vehicle in another country without prior authorization is subject to a penalty fee of 5,000.00 CHF/3,000.00 CHF.
