Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection (CDW/TP) reduces the liability of the renter in the event of theft, attempted theft or damage to the bodywork of the vehicle, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. If CDW/TP is not included in the reservation, the renter has full liability for the vehicle. CDW/P is available for purchase if not included in the booking.
If included in the reservation, the excess amount ranges between 1500 CHF and 5000 CHF depending on car class. Excess will be charged every time a vehicle is damaged. Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection is not insurance.
If you wish to further reduce this amount, you can purchase additional protection options such as the Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW/TP).
The Extended Liability Reduction is an optional protection that reduces the renter's deductible to 0 CHF. SCDW/TP does not cover negligence, interior damage, underbody or roof damage.
The deposit can be reduced by booking SCDW/TP.
You should check if your private coverage is sufficient to pay for damages, theft, handling fees, depreciation before purchasing the extended liability reduction. If you refuse the extended liability reduction, you will have to pay the corresponding costs and request reimbursement from your insurance company. Extended Liability Reduction is not insurance.
